Nestled in the hook of Ebriosus is the tundra of Chu. The land is harsh and unforgiving and once played home to the elven land of Ekade. In those days, before the Rise of the Empire, the elves there used their druidic abilities to manipulate the atmosphere, creating a rich and lush environment in the times now gone.

During the Angor War, Ekade and Ustam were both severely depleted. The eccentric ruler of Ekade, Tharivol, opted instead to return to the land of his mother’s birth and saw him installed as the snough of Gi’s savannahs. The role of ruling over the tundra then fell on Chillbreeze Yuga, a native of Ekade. Still, Snough Yuga was a student of the monasteries and as such utilized a different philosophy in adapting Chu for life once more.

Rather than use druidic powers to alter the environment, he let nature take its course. Low temperatures and short growing seasons caused the land to wilt, turning it into an arctic tundra; the soil is permanently frozen, preventing trees from growing and reviving Ekade forest, and the vast, stark landscape is frozen for much of the year.

Today, Chu sees few visitors due to the maddening effect of daylight that lasts for several weeks at a time. The intense focus and meditation taught by the numerous monasteries that dot the landscape seem to allow the natives to acclimate to such conditions.

Snough: Recently, the Snough of Chu (Snough Yuga) died, leaving his four sons to fulfill his role; Satya, Treta, Dvapara and Kali each fulfill the duties of the snough in turn.

Terrain: Chu is an arctic tundra (cold deserts).

Fighting Style: The warriors of Chu favor two-weapon fighting and unarmed combat and make use of feats such as Chokehold, Cleave, Defensive Throw, Deflect Arrows, Exotic Weapon Proficiency (katana), Grappling Block, Great Throw, Improved Grapple, Improved Unarmed Strike, Power Attack, Stunning Fist and Weapon Focus (katana).
